Rahul Udasi

Rahul Udasi has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Rahul began their career in 2009 as a Wireless Protocol tester at Research In Motion, where they conducted tests on BlackBerry devices and reported issues to developers. In 2010, they worked as a Wireless data application developer coop at the same company, creating an API for the pre-certification team and automating tasks with scripts.

In 2011, Rahul worked as a Student Design Engineer at Evertz, where they developed an automated test framework and carried out hardware testing. Rahul gained knowledge of video/audio systems in the media broadcasting industry.

Rahul then joined Qualcomm in 2012 as a Software Engineer intern, where they worked on the LTE Modem team on the L2 layer. Rahul specifically developed logging code for the eMBMS feature and performed testing on 8960 and 9x15 targets. At the same time, they interned at Willow Garage as a Diagnostic Software intern, writing a motor diagnostic tool for the PR2 robot on the ROS platform.

In 2013, Rahul worked as a Software Intern at Dejero Labs Inc., where they built video/audio capture filters using C++ and boost. Rahul also worked on a python tool to detect stream freeze and performed testing for the DejeroLive+ 20/20 transmitter.

From 2014 to 2015, Rahul worked as a Design Engineer at Vitruvian Engineering, contributing to the design process.

Lastly, they joined Trexo Robotics in 2016 as the CTO and continues to work in that role.

Rahul Udasi has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) degree in Mechatronics from the University of Waterloo, which they obtained from 2008 to 2014. Rahul then went on to pursue a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Toronto, which they completed from 2015 to 2016. In 2019, Rahul Udasi attended Y Combinator for a brief time to further their knowledge in the field of study. No specific degree was mentioned for this program.
