Ralph Santos has over 19 years of work experience in the technology industry. In 2021, they began working as a DevOps Security Engineer for Trellis Software, Inc., where they manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt, implements policies and procedures required for Trellis' SOC 2 Type 2 security program, reviews third-party system audits and penetration tests, coordinates and/or performs remediations as needed, and monitors system infrastructure and responds to system outages and security events. In 2006, they also worked as a Software Engineer for UC Berkeley. In 2002, they worked as a DevOps Engineer for Rosetta Inpharmatics, where they developed an application to allow scientific staff to cooperatively edit reports, developed a database and tools for tracking NCBI contigs and transcripts, and developed a web interface for a database system supporting a RT-PCR laboratory.

Ralph Santos attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Humanities.
