Sara O'Kane has a diverse work experience starting from 2015. Sara served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Campus Tour Guide at Youngstown State University from May 2015 to May 2017. In 2017, they worked as a Project Co-Op at The Great Lakes Construction Co. Sara then joined Youngstown State University as an SGA Vice President for Student Life, responsible for planning and programming events as well as participating in campus committees. From 2018 onwards, Sara worked at Traylor Bros., Inc. in various roles including Engineer, Main Span Field Engineer, and Structures Field Engineer. Their responsibilities included work planning, material takeoffs, managing subcontractors, and ensuring quality and safety in field operations.

Sara O'Kane started their education at Poland Seminary High School from 2010 to 2014. During this time, they did not obtain a degree or specialize in any field of study.

After completing high school, Sara attended Youngstown State University from 2014 to 2018. Sara earned a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and focused their studies in this field.

In terms of additional certifications, Sara obtained various qualifications. In May 2019, they obtained the Engineer In Training certification from the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors. In October 2018, they completed the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health course from the National Safety Education Center.

Sara also received specialized training and certifications in their field of study. In April 2020, they obtained the Grouting Training Certification from the American Segmental Bridge Institute. In June 2020, Sara completed the Level 1 Multistrand & Grouted PT Installation course from the Post-Tensioning Institute.

More recently, in January 2021, Sara obtained certification in CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Heart Association. Overall, Sara O'Kane has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Youngstown State University, along with a range of additional certifications and specialized training in their field.
