Carl Hooker has held a variety of roles in the education technology space since 2014. Carl began their career as a Consultant/Speaker for HookerTech, LLC. In 2017, they became a Faculty Member for Future Ready Schools. In 2018, they took on the role of Chief Evangelist for Trashbots. In 2020, they became the Director of the Ed Tech Influencer Network, Part Owner of Idle Hands ATX & Idle Hands HTX, and The Remote Learning Coach. In 2021, they were Co-Founder of K12LEADERS and Chief Evangelist of Innovation for Rex Academy. Finally, in 2022, they became a Senior Advisor for multiple companies and an Author for Ready, Set, FAIL!

Carl Hooker obtained their Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from the University of North Texas between 2004 and 2006. Prior to that, they earned a BS in Applied Learning Development from The University of Texas at Austin between 1993 and 1998.
