Katerina Gawthorpe, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of economics. Katerina currently serves as a Lead Econometrics Modeling Analyst at Transurban. Prior to this, they worked as an Economic Analyst at the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic from 2016 to 2023. Additionally, they held the position of Research Economist at the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic from 2019 to 2021, where they conducted impact evaluations and estimated effects using various economic models. Katerina also worked as a Researcher at the University of Economics, Prague from 2014 to 2021 and as an Economic Analyst at the Czech Statistical Office in 2019. Katerina Gawthorpe, Ph.D. has a strong background in economic analysis and modeling.

Katerina Gawthorpe, Ph.D., holds a Certificate in FinTech Bootcamp from The George Washington University, which they obtained from 2022 to 2023. Katerina earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Economics from the Prague University of Economics and Business, completing their studies from 2014 to 2019. In 2014 to 2015, they also attended CERGE-EI as a Visiting Student, focusing on Applied Economics.

In addition to their academic degrees, Katerina Gawthorpe has obtained several certifications. Katerina completed the GW Fin Tech Boot Camp at The George Washington University in March 2023. Prior to that, in April 2019, they obtained a certification in Macroeconometric Forecasting and Analysis from the Joint Vienna Institute. Katerina also holds a certification in Monetary and Fiscal Policy Analysis with DSGE Models from the Joint Vienna Institute, which they obtained in December 2017.
