Nick Owen has a diverse work experience. From 1997 to 2004, they worked at First Group, where they held various roles such as General Manager, Area Manager, and Senior Management Trainee. In 2004, they joined Transport for London, where they served as the Chief of Staff/Staff Officer until 2007. Nick then became the Head of Bus Enforcement until 2013. In the same year, they briefly served as the Acting Deputy Director & Head of Bus Enforcement before being promoted to the role of Head of Strategic Coordination, which they currently hold.

Nick Owen has a BSc (Econ) Economics degree and an MSc Business Economics degree, both from Swansea University.
