Dean Leaver is a Senior Project Controls Engineer at Transport for Greater Manchester since January 2020, where responsibilities include leading project controls and PMO for the Bus Franchising programme, aimed at reinstating public control over buses. Previously, Dean worked at Sellafield Ltd from September 2014 to December 2019 as a Project Planning Engineer on a major decommissioning project, after completing a graduate scheme focusing on various aspects of project management and controls. Earlier experience includes serving as a Field Service Engineer for GE Energy, overseeing three water treatment plants and managing projects to ensure compliance with CE marking standards. Dean holds a Master’s Degree in Project Management Professional Development from The University of Manchester and a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Liverpool.
