Robert Rice has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Robert is currently the CEO and Founder of Omniscape, a Metaverse platform that combines augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technology. Prior to this, they were the CEO and Founder of Transmira, the developer of Omniscape.
Robert has also worked as an AR/VR/XR Consultant, Advisor, Speaker, and Evangelist, helping companies implement AR, VR, and XR technology for practical solutions. Robert has provided consulting services to various industries, including enterprise, consumer, marketing, advertising, healthcare, hospitality, tourism, entertainment, and education.
In addition to their entrepreneurial ventures, Robert has served as the Chair of the Raleigh Citizen's Advisory Council and the Glenwood Citizen's Advisory Council. Robert has also founded the AR Consortium, an association dedicated to the commercialization of augmented reality technologies.
Earlier in their career, Robert founded LocalSense, a social commerce and analytics platform, and Neogence Enterprises, where they developed a mobile and local augmented reality platform. Robert also served as the President/CEO of Orchid Media, a company that published Asian developed online role-playing games and provided consulting services to the gaming industry.
Robert's work experience also includes a role as the Director of Prints at DeviantArt, Inc., where they managed the Prints Department and implemented strategies to increase profits. Additionally, they have served on the Board of Directors for the RTP Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals.
Throughout their career, Robert has demonstrated expertise in AR, VR, XR, spatial computing, AI, and blockchain technologies. Robert has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for leveraging these technologies to drive innovation and create immersive experiences.
Robert Rice attended Karlsruhe American High School from 1985 to 1987. Robert then transferred to Kaiserslautern High School, where they studied from 1987 to 1989. Robert later enrolled at the University of Valley Forge in 1989 and studied Theology and Music for a year before completing their education history.
