Frauke Kracke is a highly experienced professional in the field of carbon removal technology and microbial bioengineering. Currently serving as the Science Lead for Stripe Climate and Frontier since May 2022, Frauke oversees scientific and technical diligence related to diverse carbon removal approaches and conducts thesis-driven research to identify new opportunities. As a Venture Partner at Transition since November 2021, Frauke focuses on enabling climate transitions for early-stage companies. Previous roles include Senior Staff Scientist at Stanford University School of Engineering, where project management and research supervision were key responsibilities, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stanford University, emphasizing sustainable chemical production from CO2. An academic background includes a PhD in Biotechnology from The University of Queensland and a Diplom Engineer from TU Dortmund University.
