Michael Papuga has a diverse range of work experience in finance and accounting roles. Michael started their career at KPMG US as an Auditor and then moved to Grant Thornton LLP, where they worked as a Senior Auditor. Michael joined Eaton Corporation as a Senior Internal Auditor, managing financial and operational audits and implementing electronic work-papers software.

Following their time at Eaton Corporation, Papuga joined Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC as an Internal Audit and Tax Manager. Michael created an internal control framework and led financial statement audits. Michael later became the Corporate Cost Accounting Manager, responsible for consolidation and reporting, as well as SAP implementation and standard costing.

Papuga joined Moen Incorporated as the Operations Finance Manager, leading product costing and budgeting for all locations. Michael also played a key role in redesigning and streamlining the SAP product costing system. Michael later became the Plant Controller, managing daily operations and executing strategic projects. Lastly, they served as the Finance Director for US Operations, collaborating with operations leaders to drive continuous improvement.

Currently, Papuga is working at TransImpact as the Director of Finance, where they grew the finance department and led the integration of acquired companies. Michael implemented Power BI based financial reporting and variance analysis and built a quarterly forecasting process. Additionally, they automated the Accounts Payable system, resulting in significant time savings.

Throughout their career, Papuga has consistently demonstrated their expertise in finance, process improvement, automation, and team leadership.

Michael Papuga attended Kent State University from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting. Following their graduation, in May 1998, they became a Certified Public Accountant with an active license in Ohio. In January 2015, Michael obtained a certification as a Change Management Practitioner from Prosci.
