Patrick McClary has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries. Patrick currently works as the Lead Product Designer at Transcarent. Prior to that, Patrick operated their own design company called PMcC Design, where they served as a UX Strategist & Lead Designer, helping businesses optimize their digital products. Patrick also worked at ThriveDX (formerly HackerU) as an Associate Director, Instructor & Student Experience, Associate UI/UX Program Director, and UI/UX Curriculum Engineer. At Flatiron School, Patrick held the position of Lead Design Instructor, guiding and mentoring design students. Patrick also worked as a UX/Product Designer at Deloitte Digital, where they contributed to the development of digital products. Patrick co-founded SeedPaths, a software development training company, where they designed a soft skills training program and managed daily operations. Patrick served as the Director of Youth Business Development at YouthBiz, Inc., where they created and implemented programs to support youth entrepreneurs. Patrick began their career as a Literacy Teacher & Varsity Coach at Aurora Public Schools and worked as a Sportswriter & Layout Editor at the Longmont Times Call and The Keene Sentinel.
Patrick McClary attended Fall Mountain Regional High School from 1998 to 2002. Patrick then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism & Sports Studies at the University of New Hampshire from 2002 to 2006. In 2016, they enrolled in General Assembly's User Experience Design Immersive program.
