Bryan Burns has a strong work history in the telecommunications industry, with various leadership roles. Bryan started their career in 1992 as a Wireless System Engineer at Cellular One of E/C PA. Bryan then worked as a Software Developer at LEGI-SLATE in 1995. In 1996, they joined NEXTLINK as the Director of Network Planning. Bryan continued to climb the corporate ladder and joined XO Communications in 2002 as the Director of Revenue Assurance. Bryan held various positions at XO Communications, including Director of Technology and Architecture and VP of Engineering. In 2012, Bryan joined Transaction Network Services as the VP of Operations. Bryan later became the VP of Mobility Products and finally the VP of Business Process and Data Analytics, a position they held until the present.
Bryan Burns holds a strong educational background. Bryan pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Bucknell University from 1987 to 1991. Simultaneously, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, which they successfully completed during the same time period. Building on their foundational engineering knowledge, Bryan then went on to excel further in the field by obtaining a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University, completing their studies from 1993 to 1995.
In addition to their academic accomplishments, Bryan has also obtained certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2017, they successfully completed the ITIL Foundation Certification Training Level, which has bolstered their expertise in IT service management. Furthermore, in September 2020, they obtained a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn, demonstrating their commitment to diversity and inclusivity in professional settings.
