Dan O'Donnell has had a diverse work experience in the football industry. Dan began their career as a professional football player for Liverpool Football Club from 2004 to 2007. Dan then moved on to The Crewe Alexandra Football Club Company Ltd. where they played as a professional football player from 2007 to 2010. After their playing career, O'Donnell worked as a U16-18 Head Coach at Ballarat City FC from 2014 to 2015. Dan then joined Everton Football Club as a Foundation Phase Coach from 2015 to 2016. O'Donnell's most recent role was at Tranmere Rovers FC, where they served as the International Assistant Technical Director from 2016 to 2021 and the International Technical Director from 2018 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Coaching at Tranmere Rovers FC starting from June 2021.
Dan O'Donnell attended Liverpool John Moores University from 2011 to 2016, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Sports and Exercise.
