Herbert Foo has extensive experience in the field of scientific research. Herbert started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Adelaide in May 2006 and worked in this role until February 2007. Herbert then became a Research Officer at the same university from February 2007 to September 2009. In February 2013, they returned to the University of Adelaide as a Research Officer and held this position until November 2015.
From November 2015 to May 2021, Herbert worked as a Principal Scientist in the field of Photonics at Trajan Scientific and Medical. Following this, they transitioned to the role of Principal Scientist focusing on Glass Science in May 2021 and is currently still employed in this position.
Herbert Foo pursued their education at the University of Adelaide, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Molecular Biology, with a focus on Organic Chemistry and Genetics, from 2002 to 2004. Following this, from 2004 to 2005, they furthered their studies at the same institution and completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Honours degree in Organic Chemistry. Herbert continued their academic journey at the University of Adelaide and achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry, which they pursued from 2009 to 2014.
