Kathryn St. John

Global Director, User Insights & Analytics at Trading Central

Kathryn St. John has a diverse work experience in various roles within the financial industry. Kathryn started their career at Nortel as a Web Developer and Project Manager from 1999 to 2001. In 2001, they joined Recognia Inc. as a Developer, where they designed and developed their first web application, Technical Insight. Kathryn then took on the role of Customer Integration Developer and Product Manager from 2004 to 2010, where they were responsible for customer retention and aligning product development with client objectives. From 2010 to 2015, Kathryn worked as a Senior Product Owner at Recognia Inc., where they managed and designed products and introduced various new applications. In 2016, they became a Director of Product Management and then a Senior Director of User Experience at Recognia Inc. (acquired by Trading Central), where they contributed to the integration of Recognia and Trading Central's product activities. Since 2019, they have been working at Trading Central as a Global Director of User Experience and User Insights & Analytics, where they are responsible for studying usage analytics and user behavior and making this data available to stakeholders and customers. Kathryn has also built the User Experience function at Trading Central from scratch.

Kathryn St. John has a B.C.S. degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Business from Carleton University. Kathryn attended Carleton University from 1996 to 2001. Currently, they are pursuing a Global Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Global Business at Macquarie Business School. This program will last from 2021 to 2024.

In addition to their degrees, Kathryn St. John has obtained several certifications. Kathryn earned a certification in Goal Setting: Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) from LinkedIn in May 2020. In December 2019, they completed a certification course on Design Thinking: Understanding the Process, also from LinkedIn. Kathryn obtained a certification in Collaboration Principles and Process from LinkedIn in October 2019. In March 2019, they completed a certification program on Creating a Culture of Strategy Execution from LinkedIn. In January 2019, they earned a certification in Data Visualization: Storytelling from LinkedIn. Kathryn obtained a certification in Program Management Foundations from LinkedIn in October 2018. Additionally, they completed a course titled Introduction to Negotiation: A Strategic Playbook for Becoming a Principled and Persuasive Negotiator from Coursera in June 2018. Kathryn holds a certification in Chartered Market Technician (CMT) Level 1 from the CMT Association, Inc., obtained in November 2017. In November 2015, they obtained a certification in Brand Management: Aligning Business, Brand and Behaviour from Coursera Course Certificates. Further, they completed a certification program on Practical Product Management from Pragmatic Marketing in August 2012. Their earliest certification is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, obtained in July 2005.
