Sean Sutherland has held a variety of roles in their professional career. Sean began their career in 2001 as a Technology Specialist for Cesari and McKenna, LLP. In 2004, they were appointed Head of the Electrical Engineering Department at CCA and also began working as a Lecturer at St. Vincent Community College. In 2006, they became the General (Operations) Manager of the Trinidad Office for Medullan. In 2010, they had a brief stint as an MBA Intern for Google Inc. From 2013 to 2017, they served as the Founder of The PREP AREA. During this time, they also worked as a Finance and Information Systems Course Instructor for the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. Since 2017, they have been working as a Product Manager for TradeCafé.
Sean Sutherland has a diverse educational background. In 2016-2017, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Education, where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Learning and Design Technology. In 2010, they completed an MBA Exchange at NYU Stern School of Business, focusing on Finance, Entertainment/Media/Technology. In 2009-2010, they studied for their MBA in Finance at McGill University. From 1996-2001, they obtained both a BSc and MEng in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition, they earned a BSc in Music from MIT between 1996-2000. In 2020, Sean also obtained two certifications: a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance in August, and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in May.
