Max Widmann is an experienced legal professional specializing in data protection and privacy law. Currently, Max serves as Lead Legal Counsel for Data Protection at Trade Republic since May 2023. Prior to this role, Max was Head of Data Privacy at TIER Mobility from May 2021 to April 2023, and held various positions at LinkedIn from January 2018 to April 2021, including Senior Lead Product and Privacy Counsel and Senior Product and Privacy Counsel. Max also worked as Legal Counsel for Data Protection & IT Law at Zalando SE from January 2014 to November 2017. Earlier career experience includes legal trainee roles at Yoon & Yang LLC and Scheidle & Partner, as well as a research assistant position at Noerr LLP. Max holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in International and Comparative Law from The George Washington University Law School and has completed the Second State Examination in Law in the State of Bavaria, as well as the First State Examination in Law from the University of Augsburg.
