Maya Dawson has over 18 years of professional experience in creative strategy, project management and leadership. In 2018, they began working at The Home Depot as Manager, Corporate & Promo Signage, where they were responsible for overseeing the visual signage experience for corporate promos, events and off-shelf merchandising. Maya championed the MAP Endcap Signage Program and spearheaded the conceptualization and visual merchandising of a $100M Smart Home Event. In 2017, they co-founded and served as Chief Creative Strategist for Creativaire, Inc. where they provided creative direction and consultation for projects, events and campaigns. From 2015-2017, they held various roles including Creative Director at TRACKSTARZ, Project Manager/Coordinator at South Coast Paper, and Property Manager at Loyd Ventures. From 2004-2015, they served as Creative Director and Assistant to the COO at Destiny Metropolitan. In 2003, they worked as a Program Coordinator at Young Audiences of Atlanta.
Maya Dawson has a Project Management Professional Certification from the Institute of Project Management, obtained in 2016. Maya also holds two Bachelor's degrees from Spelman College, obtained in 2002; one in Vocal Performance, and one in Economics.
