Nicolas Romero began their work experience in 2016 as a Tutor at the ISU Academic Success Center. In 2017, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the ISU Bioeconomy Institute. Nicolas then joined the Iowa State University Boyd Lab as a Manufacturing Technician in 2018. In the same year, they also took on the role of Mechanical Design Lead at Cardinal Space Mining, where they supervised a team, managed mechanical systems, and facilitated testing and data analysis. In 2019, Nicolas became a Design Advisor at Cardinal Space Mining, providing technical design guidance and delivering presentations on CAD and manufacturing processes. Starting in 2021, they worked as a CAD Designer I at Trachte LLC, where they designed utility buildings and drafted plan prints. Finally, in 2023, Nicolas joined Northrop Grumman as a Principal Mechanical Engineer.
Nicolas Romero obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, completing their education from 2015 to 2019.
