Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino has had a diverse range of work experiences over the years. Alexandra has worked as a Design Director at TPXimpact since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant at designswarm, where they collaborated with various clients including American Express, BBC Research & Development, and Nokia. Alexandra also initiated the Low Carbon Design Institute in 2019, which focuses on the intersection of climate change, education, and creative communities.
In 2022, Alexandra served as the Chief Design Officer (maternity cover) at the Design Council. Before that, they played a key role in expanding the Library of Things, a London-based project, by managing its operations and supply chain.
Alexandra has been actively involved in the technology and design community, having curated and organized the London Internet of Things Meetup, one of the largest meetups dedicated to IoT. Alexandra also founded The Good Night Lamp, a collection of internet-connected lamps that gained recognition in the London Design Museum.
Throughout their career, Alexandra has worked with notable organizations and clients such as EDF Energy, ING Labs, National Geographic, and Proctor & Gamble. Alexandra has also been associated with design partnerships like Really Interesting Group and Tinker London, where they co-founded and served as CEO. Some of their projects with Tinker London are part of the permanent collection at the MoMA in New York.

Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino obtained a Master's Degree in Interaction Design from the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea between 2004 and 2006. Alexandra also completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from the Université de Montréal from 2000 to 2004.
