Baptiste Fankhauser possesses extensive experience in railway safety and construction. Currently serving as Délégué à la sécurité ferroviaire at Transports publics fribourgeois since May 2023, Fankhauser also holds the position of Inspecteur de voies ferrées certifié CFF at SBB CFF FFS since February 2020. Previous roles include safety delegate at MOB - GoldenPass, where responsibilities included overseeing railway safety operations, and various safety-related positions at RM Voie Ferrée, where Fankhauser began as a Chef sécurité CFF. Early career experience includes roles in construction as a skilled mason, and achievement in the Trophée des métiers 2009. Fankhauser holds a CAP Maçon and a Brevet Professionnel Maçon from Lycée Gustave Eiffel.
