Jungo Kasai is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago and Co-Founder/CTO of Kotoba Technologies, Inc., both positions held since September and July 2023, respectively. Previously, Jungo pursued a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington from September 2018 to August 2023. Jungo's experience includes research internships at the Allen Institute for AI, Microsoft, Facebook AI, and IBM, as well as a role as a judge for the IBM Watson AI XPRIZE while associated with XPRIZE. At Yale University, Jungo served as a Post-graduate Associate and provided economic research assistance, and also held the position of Teaching Fellow for a Natural Language Processing course. Educational qualifications include a PhD from the University of Washington and multiple certificates in Mandarin from various prestigious institutions in Taiwan and China.
