Adam W. Parkinson, MPS, serves as the principal of Public School No. 5 in West New York, NJ, and as the Commissioner of Revenue & Finance for the Town of West New York since May 2023. With extensive educational experience, Adam previously held the position of Assistant Director of Academic Programs & Student Achievement in the Weehawken Township School District from January 2017 to June 2024, teaching fourth grade after an internship. Earlier roles include Coordinator of Online & Virtual Learning at Hudson Learning Center and substitute teaching in the Guttenberg School District. Adam's educational qualifications include an ongoing Doctor of Education in Leadership in Schooling from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Georgian Court University, a Master of Professional Studies in Political Management from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education & American Studies from Saint Peter's University.
