Xinjie Ou is a Water Resources Engineer currently employed at the Town of Oakville since August 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Project Engineer and Water Resources Designer (Engineer-in-Training) at WSP in Canada from May 2017 to August 2022. Xinjie gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Guelph, where work involved applying a conceptual hydrologic model to assess urban watershed impacts. Additionally, Xinjie served as a Teaching Assistant for courses in Fluid Mechanics and Urban Water Systems Design. Earlier endeavors include research and internship positions at Liaoning Normal University and Wuzhou Water Conservancy and Electric Power Design Institute, focusing on health risk assessment methods and hydraulic modeling. Xinjie holds a Master of Engineering in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Engineering in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering from Liaoning Normal University.
