Mayra Duarte has a diverse background in administrative and educational roles, currently serving as an Office Specialist in Community & Leisure Services for the Town of Miami Lakes, Florida since April 2008. Previous experience includes positions as an Administrative Assistant, Liaison, and Consultant to Families with Autistic Children at Vocal Analysis Systems Technology from March 2005 to June 2013, as well as a Substitute Teacher with Miami-Dade County Public Schools from February 2007 to April 2009. Mayra also founded and served as CEO of The Book Connnection between January 1999 and December 2003. In the financial sector, Mayra held positions as an Adjustable Rate Mortgage Processor at J.I. Kislak Mortgage LLC and Southeast Mortgage, along with being a Senior Financial Coordinator at Chrysler First Financial. Mayra holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management, Marketing from Saint Leo University.
