Alan Drozd possesses extensive experience in land use planning and policy management across various municipalities. Currently serving as the Manager of Planning Policy for the Town of Georgina since June 2017, Alan oversees the land use planning policy program within the Development Services Department. Previous roles include Acting Manager of Planning, Supervisor of Development Planning at Georgina, and Manager of Planning Services at the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, where responsibilities encompassed staff supervision, Official Plan updates, and comprehensive zoning by-law preparation. Alan's career began at the City of Oshawa, holding multiple planning positions, including Principal Planner, where contributions included Official Plan policy development and significant development application management. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Geography from Wilfrid Laurier University.
