James Creighton serves as the Senior Assistant County Attorney for Westchester County since November 2023 and has been a Town Councilman for the Town of Cortlandt since January 2018. In addition to legislative duties, James holds multiple positions, including member of the Cortlandt Planning Board and chairperson of the Parks, Recreation & Conservation Advisory Board. Experience includes leadership as President of the Fallsburg Fishing & Boating Club, overseeing significant community projects and infrastructure maintenance. James previously practiced as an attorney at Dorf & Nelson LLP and Steinberg & Cavaliere, LLP, specializing in civil litigation, professional liability, and risk management. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Touro University and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University at Albany.
