Scott McKay currently serves as the General Manager of Municipal Services for the Town of Canmore since November 2012, with prior roles including Manager of Recreation Services and Climbing Gym Supervisor. McKay has extensive experience in climbing program development, risk management, staff training, and policy implementation. In addition to municipal services, McKay has been the Climbing Instructor Director for the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides since October 2012, contributing to the strategic direction of the organization. McKay also delivers courses and exams for the Climbing Instructor Stream at Thompson Rivers University and previously instructed at Mount Royal University and managed a climbing wall at Westside Recreation Center. McKay holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Calgary.
