Leo Mercado has extensive experience in municipal and financial roles, currently serving as Deputy Town Clerk for the Town of Acton, MA since December 2021. Previously, Leo held positions including Principal Elections Clerk and Senior Vitals Clerk for the City of Marlborough, MA, from September 2018 to December 2021. Additional experience includes roles as an Accounting Staff member at CityWide of Boston, Billing Specialist at Fallon Health, PT Tax Processor at H&R Block, and Bookkeeper at JJ MOTTES CO and Willington Financial. Leo began a career in finance in 2004 as a Senior Staff Accountant for BJ's Wholesale Club. Educational credentials include an Associate's degree in Accounting from Burdett College and further studies at Framingham State University.
