Allan Calvo

Principal Device Engineer - R&d/rf-soi Group & Process Transfer Team (italy) at TowerJazz

Allan Calvo has a wide range of work experience starting in 1995. Allan began as a Student Assistant in the Locks Division Engineering Staff at the Panama Canal Commission, where they analyzed statistics and prepared reports. In 1999, they worked as a Contractor in the Maritime Operations Bureau at the Panama Canal Commission.

In 2001, Allan joined the Yield Engineering Group at Conexant Systems Inc as a Device Yield Engineer. Allan maintained and improved in-line yield for wafer-fab and probe floor, working closely with Process, Product, and Equipment Engineers to resolve yield issues. Allan also set up and monitored in-line defect inspections.

Allan then worked at the Network Operations Center - Altec1 in 2002 as a NOC Agent/Tech. Support/Eng. Support. Allan monitored and maintained network operations and performance and provided technical support and DNS management services.

In 2003, Allan joined Tower Semiconductor as a Sr. Product/Integration Engineer, working on process integration activities for RF CMOS platforms. From 2015 to 2022, they served as a Device Engineer, Senior Staff, leading process technology development projects in RF CMOS and RF SOI platforms. Allan also researched and designed new devices for RF and high-performance analog technologies.

In 2022, Allan became a Principal Device Engineer in the RF SOI Group - Research & Development at Tower Semiconductor. Allan developed devices and design solutions for LNA and PA applications and set up RF testing benches.

Currently, Allan holds the position of Principal Device Engineer in the R&D/RF-SOI Group & Process Transfer Team at Tower Semiconductor. Allan supports device and process matching activities, defines process experiments, and performs analysis using various tools and software.

Throughout their career, Allan has gained expertise in device engineering, process development, and RF technology.

Allan Calvo received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University in 1999. In 2001, they obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. In 2012 and 2013, they pursued further education in CMOS RF Design and RF Measurements: Principles & Demonstration at Besser Associates. In 2022, they completed a Certificate in RF Engineering from UC San Diego Extended Studies. Additionally, Allan Calvo holds a Baccalaureate Degree from Colegio Episcopal San Marcos, earned in 1994.
