David Cohen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. David is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Tour24 since January 2023. Prior to this, they founded Midwood Capital Properties LLC in 2021, where they managed direct investments in residential real estate in the Boston area. David also partnered with a local developer for off-market property acquisitions and redevelopment.
From December 2021 to December 2022, David worked as the Director of Operations & Finance at The Vilna Shul, Boston’s Center for Jewish Culture, Inc., where they utilized their non-profit management experience to oversee financial and operational aspects of the organization.
Before that, David founded and managed Midwood Capital Management LLC from 2003 to 2021. David successfully grew the partnership assets under management from $1 million to a peak of $140 million while executing a long/short strategy focused on domestic small-cap and micro-cap equities.
David's experience also includes working as a Managing Director at Igoe Capital Management LLC from 2001 to 2002, where they played a key role in making strategic block investments and managing a concentrated portfolio.
From 1997 to 2000, they served as a Vice President at GCC Investments, managing a private equity investment portfolio. David made minority equity investments in growth companies with a focus on business and financial services, telecommunications, and media distribution.
In their earlier career, David worked at The Parthenon Group as a Principal, where they contributed to the development of an in-house principal investing business. David also gained experience as a Summer Associate at McKinsey & Company and as an Associate at Berkshire Partners.
Throughout their work experience, David has demonstrated strong financial and strategic management capabilities, as well as expertise in real estate investment and non-profit management.
David Cohen completed their BA in Political Science and Government from Yale University from 1984 to 1988. David then pursued an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, graduating between 1993 and 1995.
