Marc Hyder started their work experience in the British Army as a Royal Corps of Signals from 2000 to 2006. Marc then joined Masternaut Ltd in 2011, where they worked as a National Training Manager/Consultant from 2011 to 2014 and later as a Change Management Consultant from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, they started working at RAC as a Connected Telematics Product Consultant until 2018. Currently, Marc is working at Touchstar Technologies as the Divisional Head of Product & Project Delivery, starting in November 2019. Before this position, they were a Business Analyst & Project Manager at the same company from 2018 to 2019.

Marc Hyder's education history begins in 1987 at Harrogate High School, where they pursued their GCSEs until 1991. Following this, from 1993 to 1994, they attended Harrogate College of Arts & Technology, where they obtained a B-TEC National Diploma in Art and Design. In 1995, Marc enrolled at the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside for a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design, which they completed with a 2:1 classification in 1998. Finally, in 2000 to 2001, they attended the DSSS - Defence Intelligence & Security Centre, Chicksands, where they studied Telecommunications and completed the Basic Collection Course - Radio Propagation Theory.
