David Colvin, PMP has extensive experience in project management. David began their career as a Senior District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America from 1988 to 1992. David then moved on to become a Store Manager for Payless ShoeSource, where they successfully increased store profitability and developed and led productive teams.
In 1994, David joined the United Way of Greater Kansas City as the VP of Information Technology. In this role, they oversaw project management planning and implementation, as well as managed the IT department. David also administered the implementation of the online pledge capture system, e-Way.
From 2011 to 2014, David worked at Accenture as a Project Management Office Specialist. Their responsibilities included managing resources, projects, and budgets, as well as facilitating project governance and reporting. David also provided training on project management requirements and methods.
Currently, David is employed at TouchNet Information Systems, Inc. as a Senior Project Manager. In this role, they plan, initiates, and manages software implementation and upgrade projects. David serves as a liaison between business and technical resources to ensure defined outcomes are achieved. David also monitors project plans and communicates progress to relevant parties.
David Colvin, PMP completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design from The University of Kansas from 1983 to 1988. David also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from The University of Kansas. In addition, they hold a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI), although the date of obtaining this certification is unknown.
