Stuart Casey has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Stuart is currently working as an Associate General Counsel - IP Strategy & Innovation at Touchlight since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the General Counsel - Continental Europe & Growth, International at The Kraft Heinz Company from July 2021 to March 2022, and as Chief Counsel - Innovation, Growth & New Ventures, International from March 2021 to July 2021. Before joining The Kraft Heinz Company, Stuart worked as a Special Counsel at Theobald Associates from July 2019 to March 2021.
Stuart has also gained valuable experience during their time at Kimberly-Clark, where they held the position of Associate General Counsel UK & Western Europe & KC Professional EMEA from July 2018 to July 2019. Prior to that, they served as Associate General Counsel UK & Western Europe from September 2015 to July 2018. Before joining Kimberly-Clark, Stuart worked at Diageo for several years, where they held various senior counsel positions, such as Senior Counsel - AsiaPac IP, TM Portfolio Management, and Global Technical IP from July 2014 to August 2015, and Senior Counsel - AsiaPac & Global Technical IP from January 2006 to July 2014.
Stuart's early career includes working as a Senior Associate at Arnold & Porter from February 2001 to December 2005, and as an Associate at Bird & Bird LLP from September 1997 to January 2001. Stuart started their legal career as an Associate at DLA Piper and worked there from 1995 to 1997.
Throughout their career, Stuart has gained expertise in intellectual property, innovation, growth, and new ventures. Stuart has provided legal counsel to various organizations on IP matters, contractual negotiation, compliance, litigation, freedom to operate, and dispute avoidance. Stuart Casey's education history begins at Cranleigh School, where they attended from 1983 to 1987. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of Bristol, completing their studies from 1987 to 1990. Stuart then joined the University of London in 1991, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Intellectual Property Law between 1991 and 1992. Subsequently, they attended the College of Law, Guildford, earning a Common Professional Examination degree in Law from 1993 to 1994. Finally, Stuart completed their education at the College of Law, Guildford, obtaining a Legal Practice Course degree in Law from 1994 to 1995.
