Jonathan Extance has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jonathan began their career at AstraZeneca as a placement student from 2006 to 2007. Jonathan then pursued a PhD at the University of Bath from 2008 to 2012. After completing their doctorate, they joined Touchlight in 2012 and held several roles, including Research Scientist, Group leader - Manufacturing development, Head of CMC, DNA Services, Vice President, CMC, and currently Director Of Development since September 2021.

Jonathan Extance completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Bath. Jonathan pursued higher studies at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry under a CASE studentship from 2008 to 2012.
