Role

The Product Designer is responsible for delivering largely independent UI and UX for our different platforms. As a Product Designer at toters, you will collaborate with teams of designers, researchers, engineers, content strategists, and product managers throughout the product process, setting the bar for creative excellence and providing best-in-class visual design thinking and usability expertise at the start of every project. You will utilize user flows, wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, user interface mockups, and/or high-fidelity prototypes to convey the user experience at different phases of the design process. It will be your mission to promote the prioritization of design-centered adjustments, adjustments, and enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Create user-centered designs by embracing an outside-in approach, bringing the voice of the customers into the organization, gather customer feedback, analyze and synthesize usability findings, develop user journeys.

  • Design intuitive, results driven products and thoughtful user experiences that balance aesthetics and usability.

  • Perform user research, conduct user tests, and design the overall functionality of the product to guarantee an excellent user experience.

  • Be resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities.

  • Develop Prototypes to demonstrate and evaluate potential ideas with stakeholders and validate hypotheses by conducting usability testings.

  • Listen and share with colleagues across the company to drive collaboration.

  • Work within an Agile team environment that delivers through iteration.

  • Maintain design consistency throughout our products.

  • Discuss design principles and guidelines with various company stakeholders to gain their support.

  • Be the user-advocate by conducting usability tests on early designs and making implementation recommendations from a user-centered standpoint.

  • Above all, enjoy creating cutting-edge consumer applications for the Web and mobile platforms.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus.
  • You have at least 3 years of work experience as a UX & UI designer.
  • You have knowledge and understanding of design thinking or human-centered thinking/design
  • You are someone with an insatiable curiosity to learn. When something has always been done a certain way, you wonder why nobody has begun to do it differently.
  • You usually don’t immediately know the answer to everything – but you are adept at using tools and seeking opinions to get the right answer.
  • You can flourish in a fast paced, iterative, deadline driven environment.
  • You are able to work efficiently in a remote setting during some circumstances.
  • You have excellent communication skills.
