Hoon Cho has a diverse work experience in the field of security engineering. Hoon started their career as a Senior Engineer at a South Korean government agency, where they worked from 2004 to 2008. Hoon then joined NetSecure Technology as an Assistant Manager for a brief period. In 2009, Hoon became Deputy General Manager at SK Infosec and held the position until 2014. Following that, they worked as Chief Research Engineer at coresecurity, where they focused on content development and researching APT attack techniques until 2017. Currently, Hoon is working as a Security Engineer at Viva Republica (Toss) since 2018.

Hoon Cho obtained their Bachelor's degree in the Department of Electronic Computing from Chosun University, where they studied from 1997 to 2004. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master's degree in Information Security at the previous institution mentioned, "Yonsei University".
