Tianyu Li, Ph.D., is an experienced application scientist at Tosoh Bioscience, specializing in GPC/SEC instruments since August 2022. In this role, Tianyu develops robust GPC methods to enhance the separation and characterization of materials for internal research and customers, while leading application development for new product initiatives. Prior to this position, Tianyu served as a research assistant at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from August 2016 to August 2022, focusing on the synthesis of oligodimethylsiloxanes and investigating their thermal and interfacial properties. Tianyu has also contributed as a teaching assistant during this time. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Tennessee, a Master’s Degree in Polymer Science from The University of Akron, and a Bachelor's Degree in Composite Materials & Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology.
