Glenn Saldanha is an experienced maritime professional who currently serves as General Manager and Check Pilot at Torres Pilots since September 2012, specializing in the Hydrographers Passage District of the Great Barrier Reef. Saldanha has a robust background in maritime human resources, having held significant roles including Dy. General Manager of Maritime HR at NYK Shipmanagement, where responsibilities included overseeing personnel for over 235 vessels and managing a budget exceeding 200 million USD. With a career spanning multiple positions in companies such as Varun Shipping Limited and A.P. Moller-Maersk, Saldanha has demonstrated expertise in fleet management, personnel selection, and stakeholder engagement with various international maritime entities. Saldanha holds an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business and advanced marine qualifications from the University of Technology Sydney.
