Alexander Dieter is a Law Clerk at Torres Law, PLLC. Since joining the team in August 2021, Alexander has assisted attorneys at Torres Law with client-related projects, conducted legal research and drafted memoranda of law, reviewed and revised articles and other publications, attended conferences, and completed regulatory update reviews for compliance purposes. Alexander has closely examined enforcement actions taken against firms by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC).
Alexander is currently enrolled at The George Washington University Law School (J.D. candidate, 2023) where he is studying international commercial law, U.S. export controls and economic sanctions, anti-corruption and compliance, and customs laws. He received his B.A. in Philosophy summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University.
