Gary Blosser has a diverse work experience in various roles within the field of information security and technology. Gary started their career as a Network Administrator for International Sales and Marketing, where they were responsible for securing and maintaining the network infrastructure. Gary then worked as a Software Engineer at Pentad Systems, designing system architectures and managing client needs. Later, at Eastern Washington University, they served as a Software Engineering Database Administrator, managing servers and assisting students.

After that, they joined Carnegie Mellon University as a Research Fellow, conducting computer science research in privacy-preserving machine learning algorithms. Gary also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon CyLab Japan, helping professors and graduate students with their IT security studies.

In 2010, Gary worked as a Contracted Sr. Software Engineer as a self-employed professional. Gary then joined Intrinium Networks/IT Security, initially as an Information Security Consultant, performing penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and incident response for various clients. Gary later became a Senior Information Security Consultant, leading a team and providing training and leadership in addition to their technical duties.

In 2015, Gary joined DXC Technology as a Senior StrikeForce Operative, performing penetration testing and security consulting services. Gary was later promoted to Team Lead of the Threat and Vulnerability Management Offensive Security team, managing penetration testing and red team operations.

In 2019, Gary returned to Intrinium as a Security Architect, responsible for designing and implementing security solutions for clients. Gary was later promoted to Manager of Incident Response and Forensics, overseeing incident response activities.

Recently, they joined Torchlight as a Principal Security Architect, leading a team and providing advisory services to combat digital fraud and improve information security for multiple organizations. Gary also manages incident response activities, including ransomware incidents and threat hunting.

Gary Blosser earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Security from Eastern Washington University, which they attended from 2002 to 2005. Gary later pursued a Master of Sciences degree in Information Technology - Information Security from Carnegie Mellon University, completing it in 2007. In addition to their academic achievements, they earned multiple certifications including OSCP (Offensive Security) in 2014, PCI Professional (PCIP) (PCI Security Standards Council, LLC) in 2013, Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor (PCI QSS) (PCI Security Standards Council) in 2013, and CISSP ((ISC)²) in 2012.
