Yecheng Lyu is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Torc Robotics, with a robust background in machine learning and software engineering. Previously, Yecheng worked as a Research Scientist at Black Sesame Technologies Inc., focusing on developing software for accurate 3D object representations using LiDAR detection. At Volvo Cars, Yecheng led the development of a BEV-based perception system for an autonomous parking solution and contributed to a DRL-based planning system. Yecheng's earlier experiences include research at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, where work on deep learning and point cloud segmentation resulted in published papers, as well as internships at MathWorks and Cobalt Speech & Language, focusing on robotics software development and speech recognition systems. Yecheng holds a Doctor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, along with a Bachelor of Engineering from Wuhan University.
