Rishab Ghosh has extensive experience in technology and open source initiatives, currently managing engineering for Apple Search in international markets since December 2013 following Apple's acquisition of Topsy, where Ghosh served as Co-Founder and Chief Scientist. Ghosh is also an Emeritus Board Member and Board Observer for the Open Source Initiative, having been the first non-US Board member for five years. Ghosh leads the Collaborative Creativity Group at UNU-MERIT, focusing on the economics of open source and access to knowledge. Past roles include juror for the Stockholm Challenge Award, Programme Leader at the Institute of Infonomics, Senior Researcher for the FLOSS project, and Founding International Editor for First Monday.
