Krista Duncan Black has worked in various roles since 1999. Krista Duncan began as an Attorney at the West Virginia Division of Highways in 1999 and returned to the same role in 2004. In 2008, they were promoted to Assistant Director and Lead Attorney at the West Virginia Division of Highways, where they supervised attorneys in various practice areas and acted as lead attorney. That same year, they also worked as an Associate Attorney at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. From 2000 to 2015, they worked as a Lead Quality Editor and other roles at LexisNexis. Since 2015, they have been the CEO of TOPDOG Legal Marketing, LLC, where they develop custom law firm marketing plans to help firms magnify and improve their online presence.
Krista Duncan Black attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.). Prior to that, they attended Marshall University from 1990 to 1992, where they earned a Master's Degree in General Psychology and a Minor in Management. Krista Duncan also attended Marshall University from 1985 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Legal Assisting.
