Hayley Bance has a diverse and comprehensive work experience in various roles and companies. Hayley is currently the VP of Experience & Design at Topanga.io since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Apple as an Experience Design professional from February 2021 to May 2022.

Hayley also served as a Senior Experience Designer at sweetgreen from February 2020 to February 2021. During this time, they played a key role in defining and executing a new suite of retail formats, leading concepting of customer and team member journeys, and conducting pilot tests for experience components.

Before sweetgreen, Hayley held roles at AKQA, where they started as an Associate User Experience Designer from April 2016 to January 2017. Hayley then progressed to Senior User Experience Designer from January 2017 to January 2020, where they defined service and experience designs across various retail contexts and led product strategy and design. Finally, they served as a User Experience Director from January 2020 to February 2020, leading UX across multiple accounts and overseeing notable projects.

Hayley's early career included working as a User Experience Consultant at the Center for Open Science from January 2015 to September 2015, where they conducted user research and interviews to improve usability and productivity of the center's online database. Hayley also gained experience as a Marketing Intern at EDENS: Connective Retail from June 2015 to August 2015, developing social media campaigns and conducting user research.

In addition, Hayley worked as a Research Assistant at the Perception Lab of the University of Virginia from August 2014 to January 2015.

Throughout their career, Hayley has demonstrated strong skills in experience and design, strategy development, user research, and collaboration. Their experience spans multiple industries and roles, showcasing their versatility and expertise in the field.

Hayley Bance completed their Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science and Economics from the University of Virginia, which they attended from 2011 to 2015. In 2014, they also attended the UVA McIntire School of Commerce for the McIntire Business Institute. Prior to their university education, Hayley attended Collegiate School from 1998 to 2011. In 2015, they attended General Assembly for User Experience Design, although it is unclear whether they obtained a degree from this institution.
