Ian Thomson has been involved in a variety of professional roles since 2008. In 2011, they joined the Board of Directors of Marines' Memorial Association dba Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel. In 2012, they became the Head of Business Development at Koozoo, a one-time SXSW Finalist and tech media darling. In 2013, they worked as an Advisor and Business Development and Operations. In 2014, they became the Chief Troll (Investor) at The Troll House. In 2015, they became the Managing Director at OE54, which provides operational excellence to US entities operating in Africa. In 2016, they became a Partner (Investor) at Craft+Graft and Co-Founder, Investor + Interim-CEO at TooMuchWifi. In 2022, they became Co-Founder + Director at The TooMuch Foundation, which develops accountable and #ubuntu driven leaders that deliver resilient solutions to community challenges.

Ian Thomson attended Middlesex School from 1994 to 1997. Ian then went on to receive a BA in International Relations from Boston University from 1997 to 2001. In 2005, they completed an MBA in Competetive Strategy and Entrepreneurship from IESE Business School.
