Alan leads the brand’s production, procurement, store build-outs, remodels and facilities. Throughout his 35-year tenure, he has been instrumental in developing many of the core recipes as well as building and managing the Bakery and Commissary facility which produces the brand’s famous scratch-made recipes. Alan attended the University of South Carolina in 1980 and then began his career with TooJay’s where he was involved with culinary and operations. He was promoted to Corporate Chef and then to Vice President of Purchasing where he is responsible for procurement in excess of $20M. He later took over design and construction for new store openings and remodels and was promoted again in 2016 to his current role.
