Luis Scull Baptista has a diverse work experience. Luis co-founded Tongo in 2016 and continues to hold that role. In 2017, they participated in the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator. Prior to that, Luis worked at Open Field Capital starting in 2005. Luis'sroles there included Senior Research Analyst from 2013 to 2016, Research Analyst from 2007 to 2013, and Junior Research Analyst from 2005 to 2007. Luis also worked as a Junior Research Analyst at Amerindo Investment Advisors from January 2005 to August 2005.

Luis Scull Baptista attended Escuela Campo Alegre from 1996 to 2000, where they completed their high school education. Following their high school graduation, they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree at Pace University from 2000 to 2005. At Pace University, Luis focused their studies on Political Science as their major and also minored in Economics and Latin American Studies.
