Nichele Smith, MBA has a diverse range of work experience. Nichele began their career as an Executive Assistant at The Seattle Times, where they supported the administrative functions of the advertising budget department. Nichele also worked as a Data Reporting Analyst, preparing financial presentations and developing new Oracle reporting for advertising revenue.
Nichele then moved on to the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters, where they served as an Executive Assistant in the Personnel, Research & Education department. Nichele developed a relational database and managed staff training on data entry and report development.
Afterwards, Nichele joined Rice University as an Executive Assistant in the Office of the Registrar. Nichele managed the administrative and financial activities of the office, overseeing calendar management and event coordination.
Nichele then worked at the University of Houston-Downtown as a Department Business Administrator in the Student Recreation department, where they reduced department spending and implemented a new Recreation CRM system.
Nichele later became a Department Business Administrator II in the Student Affairs Division at the University of Houston-Downtown. In this role, Nichele revamped the annual budgeting process and managed large-scale annual events.
Nichele then transitioned to YES Prep Public Schools, where they served as a District Financial Analyst and Director of Campus Operations. Nichele implemented expense management tools, achieved cost savings, and increased student enrollment through recruitment marketing.
Most recently, Nichele worked as an Executive Administrator at Acceleration Academies, providing administrative leadership and scheduling for the CEO and coordinating strategic projects.
Currently, Nichele is the Director of Business Operations at TNTP, where they are responsible for directing and coordinating financial, administrative, and staffing operations for the Northeast Region. Nichele manages operations staff, controls expenses, and drives regional growth and profitability.
Nichele Smith, MBA, obtained a Juris Master degree in Compliance and Risk Management from Liberty University in 2024. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Nichele also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Western Governors University. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Project Management from CompTIA in 2015.
