Peter Verveer is a Senior Scientist at TNO since January 2020, focusing on the development of optimization software and applications in energy transition. At TNO, Verveer also serves as a Scientist Specialist and Software Developer in the Applied Geosciences team, commercializing internally developed software. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Scientific Developer at Scientific Volume Imaging, managing software development for the Huygens Localizer, and Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, overseeing research in single molecule imaging related to cancer. Verveer's research background includes positions as a Research Scientist at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, contributing to fluorescence microscopy data analysis and developing the ndimage library, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, where quantitative analysis methods for receptor proteins were developed. Verveer's academic credentials include a PhD and a Master's in Physics from Delft University of Technology.
